15/16 November

Two day cricket for the first time this season for all two day grades, the first and seconds have already played 6 one day games. Another full weekend of senior and junior cricket is coming up, hopefully the predicted rain doesn’t cause to much mahem on Sunday.

Juniors

The juniors kick of tonight the U-11 Gryphons and the under 15’s both playing at home, the U-11’s Colts are away and looking to follow up their big win from last week . The U-13’s have a bye.

The U-11 Gold are away this week vs Mt Waverley @ Mayfield Park on Saturday morning.

Social

The second of the Junior awards days is on Saturday afternoon at 4.30 all are encouraged to get down and have a snag and a drink. The will be some special awards given out for some milestone events, congrats to Luca Trumble on 50 games!

Saturday

The first XI is looking to get back on the winning track against NCG @ Koornang Park, with Bucky Oldfield back in the line up.

The 2nd XI is just around the corner vs McKinnon, coming off a last over victory last Sunday against BDCC chasing down 189 runs.

The 3rd XI are in at Fawkner Park #5 vs Eastern Flow, with stand in skipper Sirish “the cat” Korada at the helm.

The undefeated 4th XI are playing South Yarra at Como Park, they welcome back James “Muscles” Wilkins after a 3 year lay off.

Sunday

The A Grade also have a stand in skipper in Bobby Takkier at helm make you get around and support him, i also see the clubs oldest player is having another rare game Tim “WG Grace” Dodgson is putting on the bamboo pads again. They are Koornang Park vs Parkville districts and their host of professional players.

The B-Sunday are away for the first time in a month against Endeavour Hills, so pack a lunch box lads. Glenn “the chap” Cartledge at the helm after Geoff ripped his muscle from the bone at Squash.

Social

Also don’t forget the first social function on this Saturday night kicking off at 7.30pm, there will be plenty of ladies in attendance so bring down your spouse/girlfriend. Stuey tells me the slushy machine will be fired up also. Plenty of finger food is on hand, it’s a very important fundraiser for the club.

Save the date

20/20 cricket is back @ Carnegie this Tuesday night, with Carnegie vs Arch Rivals South Caulfield. get down there and have a great night of entertainment. The game kicks off at 5.30pm.

Training Last Night

Great competition in the nets last night, see below a pic of the 2 UK lads Kieran and Danny going head to head, this what Carnegie cricket is all about! Congrats to all, seeing 50+ at training last night all keen for higher duties was great.
