Woolworths Junior Cricket Blast
Season 2026/27 will be bigger and better than ever!
Our introductory to cricket program will continue to flourish this year with many keen and committed volunteers helping to ensure our youngest cricketers get the best start in our great game. There are a variety of activities for each age group and the main focus is letting the kids have fun and involving the parents to be part of the fun. It’s proved a huge success and lots of kids love the games as well as taking huge steps with their skills development, fitness & socially.
The program seeks to provide each child the opportunity to develop:
- Cricket skills which enable participation in a variety of games and activities within the club structure.
- Physical fitness
- Knowledge and understanding of cricket
- Social skills
- Attitude and values that will encourage participation and enjoyment of sport in general
Junior Blasters at Koornang Park Dates for 2026/27:
Fridays 5:00-6:00pm
- Starting October 2026 with a Come & Try on Friday 30 October
- Weekly From Friday 13 November (ie after Cup Weekend)
- Break for Christmas/Summer Holidays
- Start Back January 29 2027
- Last session February 19 2027 – unless a ‘catch up session’ is required if we miss one for bad weather
We are always looking for volunteers, especially coaches, to help with our Junior Blasters program, so please let Matt know if you can help in any way!
