Another Big Weekend at CCC

To All Senior Players,

Our season is finally in full swing this week – the history making All Girls Team had their first official match of the season on Wednesday and T20 BLAST kicking off tomorrow and Sunday. It’s the biggest season in our history so get around the club and support your fellow members.

Club Legend, Ron Cusack, was laid to rest yesterday with plenty of Carnegie CC people there to honour the great man and pay our respects. Ron would have been proud. Ron’s family was very thankful for the support in celebrating his life and there were many words spoken of his stellar cricket career. Patrick O’Shannessy spoke on behalf of all members, we also formed a guard of honour for Ron. Steve, GC, EC and Greene were pallbearers along with the family.

We are again privileged to be hosting T20 BLAST at Koornang Park on Saturday mornings and we also have a history making Sunday Team at Hurlingham Park. All games go from 9-10.30AM and is the best fun cricket in the world with music pumping, BBQ firing and hot action all around the oval. We also need help to make sure that Carnegie is the best T20 BLAST centre in town so get along early on a Saturday and give Josh, Jodie and myself a hand # wherestong. We have 6 T20 BLAST teams!

The 2nds are in a tight challenge with Middle Park’s First XI, we made 170 and Middle Park are 0/75 chasing but with wet weather all week the ball should be swinging for the Neggie bowlers.
