Woolworths Cricket Blast is BACK!
Registrations for the 2026/27 Season of the Blast, hosted at Carnegie Cricket Club, are now OPEN!
NEW for this season – Carnegie CC Cricket Blast is now on FRIDAY EVENINGS!
To welcome more families and create the perfect way to round off the week – with Barbecue, table tennis and open canteen (in case parents want a ‘cold drink’ during the action), of course – we will now be staging our Cricket Blast at 5-6pm each Friday.
Led by Carnegie Cricket Club Junior Head Coach Ben Scaling and with CCC Junior and Senior coaches, the Cricket Blast is a flagship program for one of the area’s biggest and most respected cricket clubs. We are excited to welcome you and your family to join our rich history.
Not sure if your youngster will enjoy the Blast? Join our ‘Come & Try’ Session on Friday 30 October. If they like it, sign up for The Real Thing, which starts the weekend after Melbourne Cup Weekend. The Blast then runs for six weeks before Christmas, with four more weeks in the new year.

To celebrate 120 years of Carnegie Cricket Club, we are making this year’s Blast the cheapest in the area by pricing the 10 sessions at just $106. For that, each participant gets dedicated coaching and fun games as developed by Cricket Australia to improve skills and make friends, plus a named shirt and a bag of cricket merch.
The Woolworths Cricket Blast is the world’s most respected development program for young kids. We are proud to run it on the main oval at Koornang Park throughout summer.
