The season is about to kick off so it’s time to register and get ready. Please get to training at the club this Tuesday or Thursday from 5:15pm and complete your registration form and pay your club fees. The best value is to pay full fees upfront today. Our Captains were also announced on Sunday – congratulations to those who have accepted these roles. Fixtures are now online mycricket.cricket.com.au

This week we have our MCA teams getting started and the 1st and 2nd XIs starting the following Saturday. This Friday, the 4th XI are at Lords and Sunday sees the 3rds at Koornang Park the B Sunday at Lords and A-Sunday are away.

It’s been a strong preseason with good numbers and many good performances in the practice matches. We will have pizzas after training on Thursday night as we have only just moved into the rooms today but we will have a main meal Thursday next week when all XIs take the park.

We have merchandise about to arrive with new white playing shirts and pants and new training shirts available along with our other gear such as baggy caps, baseball style caps, shorts, stubbie holders, keyrings etc. Check the merchandise page on the app or website.

– Helping with setting up on match days

We are also currently seeking a net captain for this season – the position involves organising the bowlers and batsmen in the order the coach instructs and generally controlling the nets. All the best for this season. From Luke Meyer on behalf of the Carnegie CC Committee
